The resort’s philosophy of “No News, No Shoes” (yes we gave up our shoes on the boat from Male and even went to dinner barefoot one night) instantly set the tone for a laid-back yet refined experience. Our Sunset View Crusoe Residence was beautifully crafted from sustainable materials, offered panoramic ocean views, direct lagoon access, and the kind of privacy that’s hard to find anywhere else, as you can only access these rooms by boat.
What truly sets Gili Lankanfushi apart is its heartfelt service. Every villa comes with a Mr or Ms Friday (your dedicated butler - ours was Bobo) who anticipates your every need with warmth and discretion. Our family felt completely looked after, whether it was organising our spa treatments, a private cinema screening under the stars, or a sandbank picnic that felt straight out of a dream.

Dining is another highlight: from gourmet breakfasts by the sea to innovative, multi-course dinners that celebrate fresh Maldivian flavors. We also loved 'By The Sea' a Japanese fusion feast for the senses.
