The architecture of the main hotel building is inspired by ethnic influences. Earth-coloured walls, asymmetrical structures, and flora that is perfectly integrated into the architectural design provide an incomparable setting that induces relaxation and enjoyment.
Accommodation ranges from beautifully furnished double rooms to the two-bed roomed Presidential suite in the main hotel building - the Citadel. In addition to this are the luxury villa rooms spread out amongst the grounds of the property. Each villa has a shared pool and enjoys the views of perfectly manicured gardens.
With 10 excellent restaurants to choose from, one can never bore of the cuisine. MB is the hotel's fine dining restaurant, under the guidance of 3 Michelin Star chef, Martin Berasategui, Kabuki has adapted Japanese dishes to western tastes, while on the cliff top is El Mirador specialising in seafood, fish and rice favourites. Argentinean inspired La Pampa offers guests the indulgence of authentic Argentine specialities, Verona serves Italian cuisine and Los Chozos has the relaxed poolside atmosphere located in the main hotel.
For those more sporty or in search of inner calm, there is a restaurant at the golf course Club House or at the Abama Spa restaurant, serving only macrobiotic and dietetic delights to complement your wonderful spa treatments. However if you are on the beach then venture no further than the Playa Abama where cocktails and tasty treats can be enjoyed all day long.

Family facilities at this resort are second to none. Children can attend the Kids Club and be as involved with the daily activities as they wish. The vast array of activities includes group tennis lessons, beach games, circus school, arts & crafts and children’s disco’s in the evening.
The resort also offers an 18 hole Par 72 championship golf course where guests have preferential rates and tee off times. The course was deigned by Dave Thomas and is in operation all year round thanks to an average annual temperature of 22ºC. The course is adorned with lakes, waterfalls, 25,000 trees and the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. Buggies with GPS can be hired, along with clubs if you do not wish to travel with your own. The handicap for women is 36 and for men it is 28.
For tennis and short tennis lovers there are 7 floodlit, flexi-pave tennis courts (similar to the US Open and Australian Open courts), 4 floodlit glass short tennis courts with artificial grass and equipment rental. All courts are open from 10am to 6pm. However, for those who wish to improve their game then tennis programmes are on offer with some of the finest coaches in the world. Emilio Sánchez Vicario and Sergio Casal, founders of the Sánchez-Casal International Tennis Academy, currently the most prestigious tennis formation centre in Europe, have incorporated their methods of instruction in the Abama Tennis Programmes, where they apply the same techniques as with the professional player trainings, but are adapted in a personalised manner according to age, level and individual player objectives.
